Northumbrian Water inherited two separate telemetry systems following the merger of the Northumbrian Water and Essex and Suffolk Water companies.
The need for the replacement of these systems by a single integrated multi-functional supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system was identified. Grontmij was engaged to provide a full range of services from user requirement definition, through specification, procurement, contract management and implementation.
The system provides monitoring and control of the complete range of company assets both in the Northumbrian area and the water treatment and distribution assets in the Essex and Suffolk area.
