Full replacement scheme
Under this scheme, Grontmij provided a team of engineers and technicians to support Yorkshire Water with its telemetry and ICA programmes.
This incorporated all aspects of the site based delivery programmes including instrumentation, PLC, process control, outstations, configuration and communications. Grontmij is appointed as consultants in each of the following areas: PLC Asset Replacement programme; instrument Asset Replacement programme; upgrade/replacement of telemetry systems; SCADA configuration; automatic meter reading and central control WTWS.
Innovation for improvement
In addition to the above, Grontmij is working closely with Yorkshire Water on a number of R&D projects, looking at innovative ways in which telemetry IT can help the various business units within the company to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
