Improving operational efficiency
Within the water industry there is an increasing drive to improve the operational efficiency through better management of the dispersed asset base. At Grontmij we are working with many of the major water companies in developing and carrying out the associated programmes.
Installation and replacement
In addition, as telemetry has been used in the water industry for over 30 years there is an ongoing need to replace data monitoring / field devices due to their obsolescence. At Grontmij we have been involved in both the first time installation and the subsequent replacement of over 15,000 field devices nationwide, along with the associated instrumentation and communications, since the early 1980s.
Our experience
The need to integrate work systems into the overall corporate date structure, coupled with the drivers to reduce manpower, energy and chemical costs, has created the need to automate many of the strategic works. Grontmij has extensive experience of single site systems through to programmes of multiple site upgrades of many hundreds of smaller works.
