Grontmij worked closely with Anglian Water in the development and implementation of a fully integrated risk and value business process for the company’s AMP5 capital programme.
The process covers all stages of capital delivery; commencing with the initial identification of need by operations or asset planning staff through solution development, delivery and post project appraisal.
Results
It has been utilized on capital projects with an overall value of approximately £700m and has been made a significant contribution to the 20% reduction of Anglian Water’s capital costs.
The process enables Anglian to compare the effects of investment decisions across their full capital programme ensuring optimisation of their overall business risk position. It integrates with the new cost/benefit assessments required to support the company business plans.
