Managing and delivering Scottish Water’s capital investment programme
Scottish Water had to ensure legal compliance against defined statutory timescales for over 9000 assets. A headline budget of £40m was assigned for the programme.
Grontmij’s experienced mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation project managers assessed the suitability of the proposed remedial works, defined scopes, determined project costs and delivered the programme with Scottish Water’s small value capital works contractors.
Grontmij was also responsible for delivering a detailed compliance commentary to Scottish Water’s programme sponsor for discussion with the Health and Safety Executive. Grontmij is on track to deliver the programme for approximately £22m, a saving of over £18m against the original budget.
