Project Omega
Independent certifier
In a contract worth £40 million, Grontmij has been appointed as independent certifier to the prestigious £150 million Project Omega, devised to help Northern Ireland meet the stringent EU requirements for sewage treatment.
Ensuring quality solutions
The project involves the upgrade of current waste water treatment facilities and the provision of a new plant at North Down. Grontmij will be responsible for certifying the quality and value of work carried out by contractor Glen Water, in order for payment to be awarded.
