Grontmij is supporting the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) in developing asset management to assist the achievement of the NDA’s mission for safe and efficient decommissioning of its nuclear sites. The NDA’s portfolio of 20 nuclear sites is managed by seven Site Licence Companies with an overall annual budget of over £2 billion.
Grontmij has assisted the NDA in benchmarking itself and Site Licence Companies against other asset intensive industries that have followed asset management approaches. PAS55 is being used as a framework to provide consistency as well as good practice. The work entails close liaison with the NDA and the Site Licence Companies and considering the regulatory environment.
