Roger Preston & Partners appoints new managing director
Roger Preston & Partners (part of the Grontmij group), one of the UK’s leading specialist consulting engineers, has appointed Geoffrey Palmer as managing director.
Based in Roger Preston & Partners’ head office in Maidenhead, Mr Palmer takes over from Derek Tuddenham.
Mr Palmer, who joined Roger Preston & Partners as a graduate 22 years ago, is a chartered engineer with experience in projects across the world and will take up the position with immediate effect.
Faciliting integration to provide truly multidisciplinary offering
Following Roger Preston & Partners’ acquisition by Grontmij in 2008, Mr Palmer has been involved in various initiatives to integrate Roger Preston & Partners with the wider Grontmij group, developing opportunities to share knowledge and offer customers a multi-disciplinary approach.
Welcoming Mr Palmer to his new role, Lawrence Hughes, Grontmij’s managing director for UK and Ireland, said: “We are delighted that Geoffrey will be at the helm. His wide-ranging experience will place Roger Preston & Partners in a very strong position to exploit future opportunities and amalgamate skills with the wider group.”
Building on successes
Mr Palmer said: “I’m very keen to build on Roger Preston & Partner’s successes and fully utilise our experience to the benefit of the wider Grontmij group. We have worked hard to integrate Roger Preston & Partners with Grontmij over the last few years and the next challenge is to consolidate and build on these efforts.”
