River Leven Flood Alleviation and Navigation
Study into benefits of flooding scheme
The River Leven has been the cause of a number of flooding events which have affected the town of Dumbarton.
Grontmij was apart of a multi-disciplinary team that was appointed by British Waterways, Scottish Enterprise and West Dunbartonshire Council to identify the benefits of a flood alleviation scheme. The study also considered the potential for economic investment to stimulate regeneration of the river corridor and options to provide navigation from the River Clyde to Loch Lomond.
